Delegate Says Democrats Working Against Bipartisanship

Maryland Delegate Matt Morgan from Saint Mary’s County, says the Democrats in Annapolis are working to eliminate bipartisan representation during this week’s special session. In an interview, Morgan said state residents don’t want redistricting…

“There’s no poll out there that says, hey, Maryland wants this redistricting. And if you’re in a state like Maryland that’s so financially dependent on the federal government, it makes zero sense to drive your entire state to the minority party when Republicans are in charge.”

Morgan said such gerrymandering is only for Wes Moore’s benefit…

“This is what they believe in and right now, Wes Moore is looking to make a name for himself. He’s really, looking to take away the last majority white district that we have, which is the Eastern Shore.”
