Federal Monies Earmarked

Federal money has been earmarked for projects in Western Maryland and nearby West Virginia. Under Atlantic Coast of Maryland Shoreline Protection, $250,000 is coming to Cumberland and Ridgeley for Potomac River projects. In addition, 2.84 million dollars is going for projects at Jennings Randolph Lake, which straddles Garrett and Mineral Counties. The Appalachian Regional Commission will also receive 200 million dollars from the federal government. The ARC supports projects in Garrett, Allegany, and Washington Counties in Maryland.
