West Virginia State Employees See Raise

Governor Patrick Morrisey recently signed legislation raising state employee pay. West Virginia State Workers will see a 3% increase to their next paycheck. In addition, West Virginia Public Employees Insurance premium increases will be limited for the upcoming year to 3% unlike increases of 10-14% in previous years. Morrisey says signing the pay raise bill takes care of the Mountain State’s hard workers…
“They earned it. They deserve it, and you know who they are. They’re the teachers that work hard every day. They’re the police officers. They’re the highway workers that were here during the flood last year. They’re working on our streets every day. And a lot of these jobs, they’re not easy, but they’re essential for our state to continue to run.”
