Former Capitol Police Officer Running for Hoyer’s Seat

A former Capitol Police officer who defended the US Capitol in the January 2021 uprising is running for retiring Congressman Steny Hoyer’s seat in District 5. Harry Dunn announced his run this week in amidst an already crowded race, saying he has never given up on holding Donald Trump accountable for the actions of that day when rioters break through security and entered the US Capitol building, protesting Trump’s loss in the 2020 election.
