Former EMS Chief Found Deceased
Christopher Biggs, a former Allegany County EMS Chief, was found dead in the parking lot of the Hagerstown State Police Barracks off Route 70 Friday morning. His truck was found nearby. EMS crews worked to stabilize Biggs, and he was transported to Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown where he succumbed to an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Biggs had been chief of Allegany County Emergency Services from 2019 to 2022 when he was suspended from the position after being charged in a series of hunting crimes in West Virginia and Maryland.
