Frederick Rezones For Cricket

Travelers on I-70 East just outside Frederick will be seeing development of new grounds for a cricket field.  City officials rezoned 24 acres of land to build a 10,000-seat cricket stadium that will be home to the Washington Freedom, one of six teams in American major league cricket.  The land is currently used as a golf range but developers said that the grounds could also be used for community and regional events.
