I-68 Crosstown Bridge Inspection Starting July 6th.

The City of Cumberland Engineering Department, on behalf of GPI Inc., would like to notify the public that they will be inspecting the I-68 Crosstown Bridge starting on July 6, 2026 and is expected to be completed on July 10, 2026.
Mechanic Street, Centre Street and Queen City Drive will have flagging or single-lane closures staged to direct traffic around the manlifts required for the bridge inspection. The parking lots under the bridge will be restricted on various days with specific areas blocked off using signage and cones. Traffic Control Devices will guide motorists and pedestrians through the area. Please be aware, slow down, and obey all Traffic Devices and Personnel working in the area.

Additional inspection work is expected during the weeks of July 13th and July 20th. More information will be provided once the inspection dates are confirmed.
