Internet Outage Impacts Widespread Area

A widespread internet outage is affecting the region this morning. Just after 12:30 a.m. internet service to the Joint Communications Center in Cumberland reported an internet outage. The service disruption is affecting Microsoft, Amazon and other application servers located in Virginia and DC. Users should expect additional service disruptions with Merchants using internet-based credit card readers, Bank ATMs, and teleworkers depended upon voiceover IP phones.
