July 4th Scenic Railroad Trains

The July 4th holiday includes a full slate of events at Canal Place and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Wes Heinz, executive director of the railroad, told WCBC that it will be a patriotic day through and through.
“We’re going to have delicious red, white, and blue colored ice cream pops and red, white, and blue sprinkles on top of ice cream. And we’re going to have American flags. We’ve got some giveaway bags for anyone that’s attending the train ride out of Canal Place. So, Canal Place has some really cool things going on for America250.”
Heinz added that the ice cream train will have special runs on the 4th.
“We’re going to run the ice cream train at 5, 6, and 7. So that means that you can bring the kids or the grandkids out, ride the ice cream train, enjoy downtown, and then have plenty of room and time to get set up for the fireworks display.”
