Man Convicted of Homicide By Motor Vehicle

A Pennsylvania man has been convicted in a fatal Deep Creek Lake incident that resulted in the death of a UTV.  The two-day jury trial took place in Oakland at Circuit Court.  The incident took place in February 2025 on the lake with a Polaris utility task vehicle.  Convicted was Ricky A. Wise of Mount Pleasant, PA.  Wise was found guilty of homicide by motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.  Judge Justin Gregory has ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
