Mathletes Compete at MATHCOUNTS Regional

Allegany County Public Schools recently hosted the MATHCOUNTS Competition at Washington Middle School where mathletes from six middle schools in Allegany and Washington Counties participated. Local participants received recognition from School Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano who said he watched the students in action…

“What an incredible competition it was.  I walked away saying, ‘You were answering the questions before they were even finished being asked.  Kind of like a human calculator the way your minds were working, and I’m so proud of all of you.  All of you represent the best of the best.”
