Kathy Cornwell

Maryland customers of Potomac Edison, a subsidiary of First Energy are being offered a time-of-use rate to save on electric bills. It allows users to pay less for electricity when using it at times when demand on the power grid is lower. Off-peak energy users could save 44% more than on-peak times for things such as running dishwashers, laundry, or other major appliances.  Those wishing to sign up should call 800-686-0011.  Customers enrolled will have their electric meters replaced with one that tracks on- and off-peak usage.
