MDOT Urging Motorist Safety

The Maryland Department of Transportation is urging motorists to drive safely during the summer travel season, often referred to as the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer.” Between June 16 and 21, nine traffic fatalities were recorded across the state including two motorcyclists and five pedestrians, bringing the total for June to 22. This year, 173 people have lost their lives on Maryland roadways, down from 207 at this time last year.
