Maryland Governor Wes Moore had the opportunity to address the last graduating class of the Valley Forge Military Academy. Moore attended the academy, graduating in 1996. The academy is closing due to declining enrollment, liability costs, and other financial pressures. Moore told the graduates that they have learned to serve something bigger than themselves…

“That Valley Forge taught you something that I wish more people in this society understood – that we will not lie, cheat, nor steal, nor tolerate those that do. That Valley Forge taught us what it meant to actually live by a code. Courage, Honor, Conquer. And those aren’t just words. That is a standard. And it is something that society needs your leadership on right now.”
