Pack Horse Road Fire Being Investigated

A fire in Oldtown early Monday morning is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal. A neighbor discovered the fire at a single-family home on Pack Horse Road at 2am Monday. The house had been unoccupied for several weeks. It took fire crews an hour to bring the fire under control due to the presence of high voltage power lines and a limited water supply on scene. No cause has yet been determined; the loss of structure and contents is estimated at $125,000.
