Morrisey Takes Questions in Mineral County

At a townhall in Keyser on Friday, West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey met with residents to review wins for the state so far in 2026 and to take questions at Potomac State College. Questioned about the state’s position on the Mid-Atlantic Resiliency Line, a transmission line that would travel through the state from Pennsylvania to Virginia, Morrisey said he is against it, but the state cannot make the decision…
“I actually got together with about ten of our governors an we’ve been working to make sure as these tough decisions come in, states have more say about what’s happening with these transmission and what’s happening with electricity planners. I agree that we should not have something that does not provide value and that’s what we’ve been pushing for.”
