Municipal Government Month Plans

The month of November is Municipal Government month, a chance for cities across Maryland to highlight the ways local governments work for and with citizens.  At a recent Cumberland City Council work session, Administrator Jeff Silka talked about events the city is planning for November that would allow a way for citizens to get and inside view of how the city works…

“I’m thinking that we may do mini academy classes in the open houses just to give a little bit of an education component if anyone wants to sit through it because the staff did do the work for the academy so we have everything ready for this year.”
