Open House For MD 144 Bridge Replacement

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is hosting a public open house Thursday, September 24 at the Allegany Museum to share information about a forthcoming bridge replacement over Evitts Creek near the Ali Ghan Shrine Club. “Now the project will replace the existing three-span bridge. It’s about 110 feet long, it’s a single span bridge. It was originally constructed back in 1966 so it’s about 60 years old now and it’s safe, but it’s in need of replacement. It’s just out-used its livable life here.”
