Potomac Highlands Executive Director Retiring

Michele Walker, Executive Director of the Potomac Highlands United Way, is set to retire at the end of the year.  With 38 years of combined service to the organization, Walker tells WCBC she will miss working with the public…

“I’ve enjoyed my time here.  The volunteers, the staff, the contributors—I’m a people person, so, I will definitely miss the people.  I’ve formed some good friendships and hopefully they’ll carry on.”

Walker adds that they are already searching for a new director…

“A search committee has been formed.  They will be advertising the position soon and start the interview process screening and hopefully hire someone before I leave.”
