Schools Benefit From GIANT Foods Program

Allegany County Public Schools is again a recipient of The GIANT Company’s Feeding School Kids program, helping local school districts combat childhood hunger. ACPS received a check for over $11,000 as a result of Martin’s Market shoppers rounding up their purchase totals as a donation. “We decided that it would be nice if we did a food box drive-thru where we provide three meals and any additional items to families. So that is fresh produce, fresh meats, there’s recipes inside, a list of upcoming events including food pantries in case families need additional assistance.”
