Commission President Speaks On Closed Meetings Procedures

Complaints filed against Allegany County in reference to closed meetings have raised questions about transparency and the county commissioners. On the Dave Norman show this week, commission president Dave Caporale was a guest where he said the complaints about meeting procedures are being addressed…
“There was one that we read into the record and it’s been about two months ago regarding executive session. There was a form that wasn’t being filed properly to recognize those sessions. We read that into the record, it’s been corrected, and it’s been acknowledged.”
Frostburg resident Kit Pepper Lescallette has been attending work and open sessions of the commission and filing the complaints, some of which have been dismissed. She has also filed intent to run for county commissioner as an independent in the general election.
