Sheriff’s SORT Team Executes Search Warrant

On February 20th, 2026, Members of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Response Team executed a search and seizure warrant in the 100 block of High Lane, Cumberland, MD. The warrant resulted from a joint investigation between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, The West Virginia State Police, and C.3.I.

The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Technology Unit, the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, and The Allegany County Department of Emergency Services also assisted in the operations. A number of firearms were confiscated in the search. This matter remains under investigation by Deputy Brycen Rounds.  Charges are pending.
