Maryland’s state senators and delegates are making their way to Annapolis for a special session of the General Assembly, starting Monday.  The lawmakers are meeting to consider a constitutional amendment that would appear on the November ballot to redraw the state’s congressional districts.  Critics of the move say a special session is not needed and discussion around the issue could take place during the regular session. Proponents want the amendment on the November ballot so districts could be redrawn in time for the 2028 elections.
