State Awarded Grant For Student Career Exploration System

Maryland has been awarded a three-year, $9 million Career Pathways Exploration Grant from the US Department of Education. State School Superintendent Dr. Carey Wright explained the exploration system sets up a “learner wallet” that will document skills, credentials such as transcripts and certificates, and other records…

“It will also support data systems that connect to the state’s emerging learning and employment record. And it will also be used to expand work-based learning through internships, employer-driven capstones, school-based enterprises and registered apprenticeships.”
