State Sees Improvement in Student Testing Scores

Results from the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) for the 2025‑26 school year reached a five-year high. Student proficiency in English Language Arts and Mathematics each saw increases of over 6% from the 2021-22 school year.  In Allegany County, ELA scores have increased 8.5% and Math scores have went up 5.8% over 5 years.
