Student Salute Scholars Announced

This year’s Student Salute Scholars have been announced by the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce. In collaboration with WCBC Radio, the Chamber along with Chessie Federal Credit Union, provides three students with scholarships to Frostburg State University. This year, Briley Linaburg, a Senior at Allegany High School, has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship. Myleigh Anderson from Fort Hill and Coleton Gary from Allegany will each receive $500 scholarships. Andrea Kraft from the Chamber said the program has been active for three decades…

“The Student Salute has been a pillar program for the Chamber and, I know, the radio station for over 30 years. They’ve provided over a hundred scholarships, totaling more than $190,000.”
