Water Woes Continue for Maryland American Water Customers

During Thursday’s Allegany County Commission meeting, Bel Air resident Larry Smith told the commissioners that Maryland American Water notified customers that bills may be received in succession due to delayed billing. This would be in addition to the ongoing affordability crisis, according to Smith. He has requested that the Public Service Commission consider implementing mandatory bill forgiveness credit as well as investigating the cause for the delay…
“Specifically, what specific operational technological administrative management failures caused the billing delay, and I asked them to officially institute a number of corrective measures and hold Maryland American Water accountable.”
