WV’s Moore Looking To Below Ground Energy

Energy costs have been rising steadily in the Mid-Atlantic and West Virginia has not been immune to its effects. West Virginia Congressman Riley Moore said twenty years ago, the state had the nation’s lowest utility bills, but President Obama’s war on coal changed that. Moore says he’s a proponent of below the ground energy such as coal and natural gas…
“Bringing more coal-fired power on, bringing more gas on. You mentioned the green energy mix in there – I think that’s driven up a lot of costs because it’s intermittent, unreliable energy that’s not baseload energy. Generally, baseload energy, your consistent run, is gas and coal.”
