WBAL reports that as President Obama was preparing to address the nation on Syria on Tuesday night, a dozen anti-war activists marched to the downtown Baltimore office of U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, who is the only Maryland lawmaker who has taken a vote on a resolution authorizing limited air strikes on Syria. Last week, Cardin was among 10 members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to vote to approve the resolution. About a dozen people held signs at McKeldin Square, protesting any U.S. military action in Syria. WBAL reports the group, organized by the International Action Center, then marched several blocks to Cardin's office on Charles Street. The demonstrators tried to meet with some of Cardin's staff at around 5 p.m. Tuesday, but were told the office was closed. In an interview, Cardin defended his vote on the resolution in favor of air strikes. He says the air strikes will send a message to Syria and other nations, including Iran and North Korea not to use nuclear weapons. Cardin says he is skeptical of any Russian, or U.N. action to take Syria's chemical weapons and placing them under international control…
