BoE Member Wayne Foote Has Major Concerns with New Allegany High School Plans

Allegany County Board of Education member Wayne Foote says he has some major concerns with plans for the new Allegany High School- most notably with the location. The new Allegany is to be constructed on Haystack Mountain at the site of the former Sacred Heart Hospital. Foote says adding a new high school alongside Bishop Walsh Middle-High will make for congested and unsafe traffic conditions in the early morning and afternoons. Former school board member Jeff Metz tells WCBC News that he was part of the board when the location was selected, and he believes the potential traffic issues are somewhat exaggerated…
