City Police Arrest Man in Disturbance Investigation

September 12th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

On Monday at 11:18 a.m., officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to an Oldtown Road residence for a disturbance.  Upon their arrival they made contact with a female inside the residence who appeared to be upset.  The officers attempted to speak with the female about the incident.  A male subject later identified as Jerron Nikkah Davis refused to allow the officers to speak with the female.  Davis continued to yell and scream so that the officers could not speak with her about what occurred prior to their arrival.  Officers advised Davis to lower his voice and to move to another room so that they could conduct their investigation.  Davis refused and would not allow officers to speak with the female.  Davis continued to interfere with officers and continued to cause a disturbance. Davis was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing.  Once Davis was removed it was learned that he had assaulted the victim and destroyed property in the home.  Davis was later taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on a $5,000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Jerron Nikkah Davis, age 21 of Cumberland, MD

Charges: 2nd Degree Assault, Destruction of Property, Obstructing and Hindering, Failure to Obey, Disorderly Conduct and Disturbance of the Public Peace
