Clean The World Partners With Local Resort

May 31st, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Rocky Gap Casino Resort, a subsidiary of Golden Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:GDEN) based in Las Vegas, recently joined a program that collects and recycles leftover guest soap and bottled amenities. Through Clean the World, the resort will now send discarded soap to Clean the World recycling centers, where they are sanitized and then distributed throughout the world to children and families in need.

“Each year, Rocky Gap Casino Resort disposes of 50,000 bars of soap, some that have been used once or twice and then tossed in the garbage,” said General Manager Skylar Dice. “Clean the World has come up with a way to recycle the soap, and then distribute it in hygiene kits to areas of the world where they can help fight he spread of preventable diseases. It certainly helps the environment, while at the same time, helping those who don’t have access to soap that most of us take for granted.”

Clean the World is committed to maintaining an environmentally and hygienically safe recycling process. As the world’s first and only high-volume soap recycler, it ensures that all bars of recycled soap are completely safe and will not harm the end user due to disease or pathogens.

After it is collected and shipped to a Clean the World recycling center, bar soap is first surface-cleaned, and then sterilized with a process that has been tested and validated by SGS North America, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. The sterilized soap is ground, and the soap grounds are inserted into a soap manufacturing line and pressed into new bars. The bars are boxed and wrapped on pallets for distribution to those in need all over the world.
