The Allegany County Commissioners on Thursday officially appointed 9 members to the newly created “Competitiveness Work Group” with each commissioner recommending three names for consideration. The idea proposed earlier this year by Commissioner Jake Shade whose goal was to put together a committee that would consist of business owners, government officials and community members aiming to develop a set of common goals for economic growth.
