On Sunday, January 6th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a N. Waverly Terrance residence for the report of a domestic assault. When officers arrived, contact was made with a juvenile male victim that alleged that he was assaulted by Ashley Elizabeth Blank during an argument. The juvenile claimed that at some point during the argument, Blank charged at him and started to claw his face. Officers did observe injures. Officers then spoke with Blank who was uncooperative and would not give her side of the incident. Blank was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault. She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond pending trial. Child Protective Services also assisted in the investigation.

Violation of Probation
On Sunday, January 6th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant for violation of probation on Joshua Aron Twigg. The warrant was issued by District Court when Twigg failed to follow the conditions of his probation ordered by the court on June 12th, 2018. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.
