CPD Makes Trespassing & Disorderly Conduct Arrests

On September 26, 2016 an officer from the Cumberland City Police Department was conducting a patrol check of the city owned gazebo located along the Potomac River near Bridge Street.  While conducting those checks the officer located Terry Christopher Zais trespassing after hours.  Zais told the officer that he was aware the property was closed after hours but he elected to trespass on the property.  As a result, Zais was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Zais was issued a criminal citation, processed and released pending a trial date at District Court.

 

Arrested: Terry Christopher Zais                    Age: 47 of Ridgeley, WV

Charge: Trespassing on Posted Property

 

Disorderly Conduct Arrest

On September 26, 2016 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Allegany High School for a female creating a disturbance inside the school.  When officers arrived, they contacted the female identified as Winter G. McBride.  During an investigation into the matter, officers were informed by the principal that McBride was inside the office creating a disturbance.  When McBride was asked to leave, she exited the school, remained on school property and refused to leave.  When officers informed McBride to leave the property, she walked across the street but continued to create a disturbance.  As a result of this incident, McBride was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  McBride was issued a criminal citation and later released pending a hearing in District Court.
