CPD Serves Warrant & Summons

On Tuesday May 16, 2017, Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Cailyn Castle, age 26 of Cumberland, Maryland.  The warrant was issued as a result of Castle failing to appear for trial on May 2, 2017 for a previous theft arrest.  Castle was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s office for a bond hearing.  She was held on a $3,000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGE:  Fail to Appear.

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Tuesday May 16, 2017, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Kimberly Crossland, age 39 of Cumberland.  The summons was issued as a result of an incident that occurred on May 3, 2017 where officers responded to a private residence in the 100 block of Polk Street in reference to a disturbance.  Investigation into this matter revealed that Crossland was in violation of a court issued protective order that dismissed her from being in possession of a firearm that was found in the residence which was registered to her.  The gun was seized by police.  Crossland was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGES:  Violation of Protective Order, Illegal Possession of Firearm.
