On 6/12/18, The Allegany County Sheriffs Office received information that a wanted person, Chad Burton Burgess 25 yrs. old Cresaptown, Maryland was currently at a residence on Louise Drive, Cresaptown, Maryland. A search of Burgess revealed that he did have 2 active warrants in Allegany County. As a result, members of the Allegany County Sheriffs Office arrived at the Louise Drive residence and attempted to make contact with Burgess. However, the residence was locked and no one would answer the door. A witness advised that Burgess was in fact in the house. Force was used to enter the residence. Once inside, A search of the residence revealed Burgess hiding in the basement area. He was placed under arrest at that time. Both warrants were served at that time. Burgess was held at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Warrant #1- Fail to appear on Violation of Probation for theft $1000 to 10,000. Held without bond
Warrant #2- fail to appear for Child support hearing. Preset $100 bond.
