Cumberland man sentenced in 2018 home invasion

The Office of the State’s Attorney for Allegany County, Michael O. Twigg, State’s Attorney, announced on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, that Marcus Logan Vaughn, 33 of Cumberland was sentenced in the Allegany County Circuit Court by the Honorable Judge Jeffrey Getty to 50 years incarceration with 5 years mandatory minimum in the Maryland Department of Corrections for his role in a Home Invasion that took place on December 30, 2018 in Frostburg.  Vaughn was convicted following a four-day jury trial in September of Home Invasion, Burglary First Degree, Armed Robbery, Assault First Degree and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.   

 

The case was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Karen Detrick and Assistant State’s Attorney Samuel Lane.  Vaughn was represented by David Schram and Elizabeth Lamm of the Public Defender’s Office.

    Finally! Evidently after your 3rd violent home invasion, the courts realize you’re a danger to society. You will not be missed.

    This guy has a long arrest record record in Baltimore I guess he came here to get away from all the crime
