Cumberland Police Serve Summons, Make Disorderly Arrest

Summons Served

On January 14, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a criminal summons on Rodney Michael McCarty, Jr. The summons charges McCarty with Harassment and Telephone Misuse. The charges were filed by a private citizen for an incident that occurred on January 11, 2017 on Bedford Street. After being served with the summons McCarty was released pending trial in District Court.

Charges: Harass; A Course of Conduct and Telephone Misuse: Repeat Calls

Disorderly Arrest

On January 15, 2017 at approximately 2:44 AM the Cumberland Police responded to a business on Queen City Drive in reference to a subject standing outside a window and staring at employees inside. When police arrived they located Paul Michael Harman standing by a window, which was also in a vehicle travel lane and he was not allowing vehicles to pass by. Harman was arrested and taken to the Cumberland Police Department where he was issued a criminal citation for Disturbing the Peace Hindering Passage. He was released pending trial in District Court.
