Cumberland Rotary Club Seeking Allocation Requests

March 8th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

The Rotary Club of Cumberland is pleased to announce it is now accepting allocation requests from local non-profit organizations. Deadline for requests is April 30, 2016 and all applicants will be notified of the club’s funding decision by July 2016.

Part of the service organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life in their community. Each year Rotary Club of Cumberland donates funds to local non-profits as part of that mission. Last year, the club donated $15,000 to 23 different groups.  Allocation forms are available online at http://services.allegany.edu/rotary/allocationrequests.shtml

As part of the process, requests for financial support is considered on an annual basis and all requests for funding must be made on the club’s official Allocation Request Form. The requests may be made for any legitimate program, project or activity. The maximum allocation that any organization may receive is $1,000.

Applicants receiving funding will be invited to attend a weekly lunch meeting to receive their allocation check and make a few brief remarks to the members on how the funding will be spent. Each grant recipient must submit a final report, consisting of a short summary of how the funds were spent in order to be eligible for funding consideration in subsequent years.

Questions concern the allocation process should be directed to Rotarian Todd McKenzie at 301-722-1900 or todd@landisoffice.com
