Delaney bashes Trump pay freeze plan

August 31st, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Today, Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) reacted to the Trump Administration’s announcement of a pay freeze for federal employees:

“Millions of families and hundreds of thousands of federal employees would be hurt by this decision, and I stand with my fellow members of Congress to push back against this decision. That’s why I was an original cosponsor of the FAIR Act (H.R. 4775), which would provide a 3 percent pay increase for the federal workforce in FY2019.

We need to have an honest discussion about improving our terrible fiscal trajectory, but arbitrarily attacking the hardworking public servants of our federal workforce – who have already taken cuts in pay and benefits over the past decade – is not responsible or thoughtful governing.”
