With another restaurant pulling out of the Footer Dye Works project in recent weeks, and the chairman stepping down- the District One Delegation has requested a meeting with the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority. The meeting, which will include Footer project developer Michael Joy, will take place Monday at 11. Two restaurants have bailed on the project in the first half of the year- and two weeks ago, Rick Thayer stepped down as chair with John Bowman being named interim chairman. Executive Director Dee Dee Ritchie tells WCBC News that despite appearances to the contrary, operations are going well at Canal Place and the Footer project remains on schedule. She says that Bowman will continue as chair through the summer, but then a new full time chairman will be appointed
