“Dog Bite” Bill Expected To get Major Push During Upcoming Session

The 2013 session of the Maryland General Assembly ended with no resolution to the so-called “Dog Bite” bill.  That bill surfaced as a result of a court decision that said pit bulls were inherently dangerous. The bill attempted to create stricter standards of liability for pet owners, thus overturning the court decision. The Senate Bill died in the House. Speaking before the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce, Delegate Kevin Kelly- a member of the house judiciary committee- said he fully expects the bill to get a major push during the upcoming session…
