A dog was shot and killed by a small caliber weapon in the Bowman's Addition area. Officials say it happened near the intersection of Amherst Avenue and Brown Hill road in the Bowman's Addition area. The dog was left in a ditch along the roadway near the intersection. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Cumberland City Police at 301-777-1600.
