Growing friction between the Allegany County Commissioners and the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority was on display during Tuesday afternoon’s meeting with Chairman Andy Vick calling Commissioner Mike McKay an “obstructionist” and McKay calling Vick “unprofessional”. McKay is a member of the Authority Board and has raised questions in recent months about the Authority’s audit as well as the plan to expand the heritage area to include Frostburg and Mt Savage. McKay said he believes the authority would be spreading itself and its limited resources too thin if it were to add additional communities to the heritage area. Vick, presiding over his final meeting on the board, accused McKay and the county of having an agenda that isn’t in the best interest of the authority…
