A Frostburg man was arrested early Thursday after he allegedly attempted to break into a South Grant Street home. The Cumberland Times News reports Zachary Alan Griffith, 41, of Center Street was charged with attempted burglary, destruction of property and rogue and vagabond, according to Frostburg City Police. He was awaiting a bond hearing at Allegany County District Court Thursday morning. According to police, it was about 4:10 a.m. when residents were awakened by a noise at their back door and turned on a porch light, causing the suspect to flee.
