Fugitives apprehended in West Virginia

 It was a good day in the Eastern Panhandle for area residents. Members of the United States Marshals Service, Martinsburg Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and West Virginia State Police arrested two fugitives wanted on charges for violent crimes.

Earlier in the month the FBI had contacted the Martinsburg Police Department advising them Jamal Ezell 40 of North Carolina, was wanted out of Frederick County Virginia on a charge of bank robbery. The FBI believed Ezell to have been in the Martinsburg, West Virginia area. The information provided spurred U.S. Marshal’s fugitive task forces in Virginia and West Virginia to begin efforts to locate Jamal Ezell. On October 31Jamal Ezell was arrested at 630 ½ New York Ave, Martinsburg, West Virginia by members of the United States Marshals Service, Martinsburg Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and West Virginia State Police. Ezell was charged as a fugitive from justice to be returned to Virginia to answer to his charges.
