Grim Comments on Population with Budget Session Scheduled Tuesday

The Cumberland Mayor and City Council will meet for another public budget session Tuesday as city officials hope to finalize a tax rate and agree on what cuts in services may need to be implemented. The city, at one time the second largest city in the state, now has a population of around 20,000- and that has some critics calling for a reduction in staff in order to save money.
