Hogan Sets Sights on “Road Kill” Bill in 2017

The war of words is underway in Annapolis on legislation that would limit the governor's power. Last year, the Democratic controlled legislation passed a bill that requires the governor assign a score to all transportation projects. The score is based on more than a dozen categories, including the impact on traffic congestion and the environment.  Governor Larry Hogan has called repealing that bill his top priority for this year's session.  At a news conference last month, Hogan called it a "road kill" bill and noted it will kill more than  70-projects. House Speaker Mike Busch called it a transparency bill- and says that Hogan is exaggerating about the impact of the bill…
