Home invasion reported in Frostburg

  On 10/21/2019, at 3:27 PM, the Frostburg Police responded to a private residence on Maple Street in Frostburg for a reported home invasion robbery. Upon interviewing the victims, Officers learned that two black male suspects had entered the residence. One displayed a handgun, pointed it at the victims, and demanded "the stuff". There was a brief struggle and the suspects fled from the residence without being able to obtain anything of value.

 

                Officers learned that at least one of the suspects ran into a private residence on Broadway Street. Officers responded to that location. As they approached the front, several subjects were observed running from the back door. Officers gave pursuit, but were unable to apprehend the suspects at that time.

 

                Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I ) responded to assist in the investigation.

 

                Investigators have developed several leads that may result in the identification of the suspects after numerous interviews were conducted. As a result, Investigators feel certain that the victim residence was targeted by the suspects and was not a random act.

 

                The investigation is continuing by the Frostburg Police and C3I.
